...thinking about the character design for jesus in this strip.
this is a lad that i drew in leeds - worked up from drawings in one of my sketchbooks and probably first observed on/from a bus...
there've been a few conversations about who our christ might be in this project - black,white, mixed race, female, posh, working class, migrant...
i'm leaning towards this guy and the idea of a nice middle-class lad, come up through his family business... maybe it'll give me somewhere to take him - more so than if i was going for a big up-front social-comment-type statement with him from the outset...
